   The guy is not that close. It could be a one sided thing… Where she tells him everything, he gives some council. And all the while he does not open up much (bec of his notion that he will loose superiority that he never had in the friendship). If he has a girlfriend already, she should already know about the girlfriend becaus they are allegedly close in a mutual way.

So now he feels rejected. he cares about her BUT with men its always a POWER struggle. it OUR nature. He still likes her but now he wont submit hisself to that openness again. he has other options and he will keep her in arms reach just in case she really is the 1.its about CONTROL.Men R insecure in uncontrolled enviroments
