Have you recently split? Are you desperate to learn how to win him back? You should cut off any contact you are having with your ex. I agree it does sound a bit backwards but it works, trust me.

I guess you are going through an enormous amount of emotional upheaval at the moment. Chances are you are on an emotional roller coaster. Well, cutting off all contact with him will do two things.
