One of the premiere resources you can get today is relationship expert, TW Jackson’s “Magic of Making Up”, here’s our review.Rather than go for the hard sell, what follows are some details from his book. {This is called “The Assessment Stage”, covering a two of aspects of repairingrelationships}.

When we finish with our partner, our pride can take a knock. When we’ve invested so much of time with a person, we can feel that they owe us, and that they’ve
treated us with little or no respect. {The harsh reality is however, that life isn’t always plain sailing}.
The
book advises us that it’s most important to chillout mentally and get some perspective. It’s important to consider the difficult times you experienced as a couple, and both you and your ex’s involvement.
Approach friends and family who know you best, and ask for their totally honest view of the relationship and the reasons it came to an end.
It may seem unfair, but you must be honest with yourself and share some of the blame. To get straight opinions, you must make certain that any friend or family member is totally honest about both your ex AND you.
You have to get an outside view of yourself, without your preconceptions. It’s difficult to hear people pull us apart sometimes, but sometimes we blame everything on our ex partner, which is not always correct.
It doesn’t matter how much you blame your ex, you may find from seeking other’s opinions that you have some traits that you need to change, and therefore you have to decide whether or not you can change.
You also need to give your ex partner some space too.

Don’t let yourself become a “text terrorist”, looking for demanding their attention in this way – it just seems desperate.
Suggest a gentle chat at a neutral venue after about four to six weeks.Be non-confrontational and tell them that you feel partly to blame, that you have changed and would like to try again.
Having got clear about how you feel, work through the above for your ex partner, think about whether they would like you back.
If you sart again, try and take steps so that you don’t fall into the same old habits as before, where you just “rub along” together.
Trouble is, this can make one partner to look for someone else, leaving the other dumped. It could be that taking each other for granted was the reason why the relationship failed the first time.
The above is just a summary, Jackson goes into far more detail on this most important first step.
So that’s the opening part of the book in outline – look at yourselves with an open mind.
Next it’s the most challenging part of the book – how to restore lost self esteem and reinvent ourselves.
Having covered all of the above, the next section is all about the actual strategies you will employ. Included in the strategies are where to go, what to
do and even when to start having sex again!
The last two chapters are about moving forward together, so you won’t need the book anymore!. {But, reading the book is not enough, you have to decide to take action!}
